Sharon Lee Shoemaker

Sharon Lee (Riley) Shoemaker, 74, of Minford passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Born March 20, 1944 in Newark, OH, a daughter of the late James Harry “Sarge” Riley and Elizabeth Arlene (Stephens) Riley, she was a graduate of Licking Valley High School Class of 1962, attended Bliss Business College, worked at Minford Post Office, and was a loving homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Shoemaker; three sons, Dale (Jody) Shoemaker of Loveland, James Shoemaker of Minford, Adam Shoemaker of Medina; a daughter, Lee Ann Shoemaker of Batavia; four grandchildren, Emma Shoemaker, Nicholas Shoemaker, Eli Shoemaker, Pamela Shoemaker; a sister, Judy Riley of Heath, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Riley; a sister, Jane Riley, and a nephew, Justin Mowrey.

Funeral services will be conducted will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Jason Coriell and Jon Partlow officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
