Elva Magdalene Schomburg Troth

Elva Magdalene Schomburg Troth, 102, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on April 20, 2018. Born in Sunshine, Ohio, she was a Miamisburg, Ohio resident for many years and taught 3rd grade at Mark Twain School for 27 years. Elva was a graduate of the University of Rio Grande and Miami University (Oxford). She was a Cincinnati Reds fan and loved to watch and root for college basketball. Preceded in death by her parents “Fos” and Sarah Knore Schomburg, her 10 brothers and sisters, and her daughter Mary-Alice Weir, she is survived by her son Harold Troth of Rio Grande, daughter Sharon Turner of Greensboro, North Carolina, four grandchildren, Ray and Amanda Troth, both of New Jersey, John Turner (Carrie) of Mulberry, Florida, and Nicole Jones (Keith) of Summerfield, North Carolina, four great grandchildren, Zach and Stephanie Ann Turner of OH, Wesley Jones of Texas, and NIck Jones of North Carolina, and cousins and loving nieces and nephews. Services will be in Miamisburg, Ohio and will be announced. Paid Obit
