Joan Marie Wallace, 71, passed away January 12th, 2018 in her town of residence, Victoria, TX. Joan died from complications caused by the flu and pneumonia. Joan was born February 6th, 1946 in Portsmouth, the daughter of John Perry and Betty Clark Perry Conaway.
Shortly after graduating from Valley High School in 1964, she married the love of her life, Robert Wallace. The two eventually moved to Cincinnati, OH to begin married life. In pursuit of Robert's career, they moved to Kansas City, KS. Soon after they welcomed their son Jason Wallace into their lives, The trio would move to Peoria, IL in 1974 and remained there until moving to Vernon, NJ in 1988. They then moved to West Chester, PA in 1989 and remained there until 1991. That would bring about their final move to Victoria, TX where both she and Robert would remain until their deaths.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her older brother Donald Eugene Perry, and her younger brother, Michael Perry.
She is survived by her son Jason Wallace, of Victoria, Texas; her mother, Betty Conaway; and her youngest brother, Donald (Barb) Conaway, both of Lucasville, OH, as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Both Joan's and Robert's remains will be brought to Ohio by their son Jason, where a memorial service will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
