Roy W. Moore, Jr.

Age 60 of South Webster, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born September 22, 1957 in Portsmouth to Roy W. and Shelby (Ramey) Moore, Sr.  Roy was a 1975 graduate of Oak Hill High School and worked for 30 years as a Corrections Officer for SOCF, retiring in 2017.  He and his wife were owners of the store, Rustic Charm, in Portsmouth for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and antiquing and attended New Beginnings Outreach Ministries in Pike County.

Roy is survived by his wife, Lisa (Fisher) Moore; mother, Shelby Moore of South Webster; son, Ryan (Kaylee) Moore of Kenton; daughters, Michelle (Matthew) Spencer of South Webster, Brittani (Angel) Farmer of South Webster; brother, Jeff (Susan) Moore of Oak Hill; sister, Trina (Jeff) Queen of Circleville; and 12 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Ray and Thelma Moore, George and Victoria Ramey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roy’s name are preferred to New Beginnings Outreach Ministries in Pike County.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastors Barry Pelphrey and Andy Day officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour before the service on Thursday.  Online condolences may be shared at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
