Gary W. Baker

Gary W. Baker, 68, of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.  He was born June 29, 1949 in Jackson County, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Esta Montgomery Baker.  On December 24, 1982 Gary was united in marriage to Mary Ann Primer Baker who survives.  Also surviving is a daughter, Allison Scaggs and husband Jason of Waverly and a sister, Patti Grubb and husband John of Lancaster, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Baker and two sisters, Wanda Hitchcock and Sharon Black.

Gary was retired from the Avon Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Local arrangements are under the care of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
