Ben Davis, Jr., 87, of Portsmouth, passed away Wed. May 2, 2018 at the SOMC Hospice Center. He was born Dec. 15, 1930 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Ben and Susan Grayson Davis, Sr.
Ben was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church and an Army Korean War era veteran. He had worked for N&W Railway Company and as a construction laborer.
He is survived by his children, Ben (Michelle) Davis III, Benita A. Reeves and Shiara Coney.
Ben was also preceded in death by siblings, Charles Davis and Mary Alice Bendolph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Temple Apostolic Church with Elder Marcus Bendolph officiating under the direction of the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with military rites conducted by the James Dickey Post American Legion Honor Detail.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
