Richard Douglas Spriggs
Richard Douglas Spriggs, 65, of Gahanna, formerly of Rosemount, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018, after an extended illness. He was a son of Harold and Judith Brown Spriggs and was a 1971 graduate of Clay High School.
Rick was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football teams. He took great pride in being a volunteer Redcoat for the Buckeyes and participated in bringing in the band and seating the fans.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Judith Grose, and an infant brother, Gary Wayne Spriggs.
Surviving are his daughter, Jamie (Matt) Geary and Jamie’s mother, Delores Spriggs; his father, Harold (Patty) Spriggs; two sisters, Juanita (Danny) Robinson and Tina (Jim) Eller; a brother, Bruce Spriggs; two grandchildren, Lauren and Connor Geary and his companion, Nancy Monroe.
A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Greg Carter officiating. A gathering at Brant’s will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
