Beverly Sue Tucker
Age 61 of Ashland, KY, formerly of Wheelersburg, went home to be with the Lord and her mother on Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home with her loving husband by her side. Bev was preceded in death by her mother, Elois Smith; both sets of grandparents; many aunts and uncles.
In addition to her husband Matt, Bev leaves behind her loving daughter, Toni (Ben) Gill; two wonderful grandchildren, Maddie and Brady Gill, whom she loved dearly; her father, Leonard Smith; three sisters, Pam Lewis of Wheelersburg, Shirley (Rick) McCarty of Xenia, Jill (Jerry) Pauley of Jamestown; special nephew, Jordain; brother-in-law, Wesley (Julie) Tucker; sister-in-law, Jill Stacy; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bev was born in Portsmouth on January 8, 1957, was a 1975 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, and was a dedicated “true Pirate fan.” She enjoyed fishing, flower-arranging, and shopping and was a member of the Mead Station Church of God in Ashland. Bev was blessed to live next to her best friends, her mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Rick Tucker. Funeral services for Bev will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jim Benner officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
